If you're fearful of ANTIFA, a loose-knit, disorganized clusterfuck of people, ordinary people, many of whom having poverty issues; but you DON'T fear the largest military machine in the history of the world basically nullifying our national constitution, I don't know what else to say but to call you a pussy. You're also epitomizing privilege...
Privilege is being more concerned with ANTIFA, a disorganized band of poor people who share an ideology than you are the overreach of the most powerful military machine in the history of the world; it's knowing that the military machine won't abuse you like it has others. In fact, such a machine has already made overtures of willingness to abuse others to defend the illusions of purity that afford you your way of life.
Trump effectively nullified the entire substantial meaning of the UnitedStates Constitution and all these people can focus on is "the rioters" which is a bit of a red herring. It's a distraction from the real threat that worries me most of all.
If or when the police state turns against its citizenry, it will be a dark day in history, indeed. It'll be the first time contemporary weapons have been used against an unarmed, non-military populace. Trump is dipping his toes in those waters and it’s making many people understandably uncomfortable, including General James Mattis.
You should be worried. There’s a completely disproportionate power discrepancy between these two groups of people that extends so far as to be called gross or obscene. Stop pretending ANTIFA is any sort of threat that the U.S. military is, especially the military if they’re acting at the behest of Trump and his merry band of neofascist goons. Stop pretending that peaceful protestors got what they deserved at the hands of the US military. And where is your corresponding outrage every time some middle-class white people burn down a city because their fucking sports team lost? Oh, yeah, that’s right, it’s nonexistent. And why didn’t it match the outrage you likely had over Colin Kaepernick taking a knee? Was his peaceful form of protest not enough?
If you want protests to remain peaceful, listen to peaceful protestors; and I’m of the view, as it stands now, that the protests were largely peaceful until those peaceful protestors were shot with rubber bullets and tear gas.
And not being worried simply means that you’re okay with such a military making incursions and harming unarmed civilians in order to “defend” your political views. If you think that people on the internet disagreeing with you, you think that peaceful protestors are a threat to you, yet, you don’t feel the massive state attacking its citizens is a legitimate threat, you don’t know what a legitimate threat is. Or you’re intentionally being dense and biased against the people whose political views you disagree with and are willing to sit this one out and not stand up for the principles of this nation and free nations in general—probably because you don’t have any principles.
